There are certain songs I've never tried because...well, I'm afraid. Hazy Shade of Winter was one of them. I never thought I would ever be able to play it. I just learned it 2 days ago. Canadian Railroad Trilogy, by Gordon Lightfoot, is really a history lesson in six minutes. It could have been a book written by Pierre Berton. It's got all the politics, greed, sweat and suffering all set against the background of the wild Canadian frontier. High school students should listen to song repeatedly. I hoipe I did Gordy justice. He's a Canadian icon.
