Wolfenstein 3D: Level 10 (secret level) Posted by: synthead
Video duration: 587 seconds This video shows me kicking level 10's ass, revealing all the enemies, treasures, and secret rooms. It's a really errie secret level you can get to from the elevator room in level one. Listen to those sounds! I absolutely love the way this game uses lo-fi samples and synthesized sound effects. The music is very good too. But then again, who didn't like Wolfenstein 3D? Related: 10, 3d, adolf, elevator, game, hitler, level, nazi, purple, secret, swastika, ten, wolf3d, wolfenstein |

Our World on the Juno-106 Posted by: synthead
Video duration: 162 seconds Just having some fun. I recorded and sequenced MIDI data with the Juno using FL Studio 6. I used to be able to clumsily play the bassline and the vocoder solo at the same time a little while back but my fingers forgot how to do it :D Related: fl, fruityloops, juno-106, our, roland, studio, synthead, world |

Jam yo face Posted by: synthead
Video duration: 340 seconds Made a song using nothing but hardware. On the arp: Juno-106, on the bass: SCI Pro-One, Lexicon Alex processor for the reverb effect over an Alesis 3630 compressor, using an MC-505 on drums. A Yamaha and Behringer mixer helped me mix it down, and an M-Audio transit was used to record. No automation was recorded, every sweep and tweak was performed live. My ears hurt. How easy is it to install packages with Arch Linux? Posted by: synthead
Video duration: 25 seconds Simply run: pacman -S whateveryouwant! In this video, I install acidrip, a DVD ripper. I'm using yaourt, a sophisticated wrapper for pacman, but the commands are the same. For all you Linux vs Windows nerds, compare how long it takes to google up your software and install it with a wizard, clicking next a redundant 12 times ... to this! Neat tune with technical MIDI routing Posted by: synthead
Video duration: 75 seconds Something I improvised while on camera. Along with physically playing the synth, I am controlling a transposed MIDI Out channel (FL Studio 6) via the Juno's MIDI out, routed to the MIDI in of the Juno. This allows me to have "virtual oscillators" in the way that one key can play a chord. Pretty fun. Related: fl, fruityloops, juno-106, roland, studio, synthead, synthesizer |
