It is a specially modified Garrett GT4071R(WG) turbocharger with a machined compressor back plate and specially adapted flanges to fit the GReddy manifold and downpipe. If you use a regular air filter without setting up proper airflow like the OEM intake does, you'll end up with issues as the rough air plays havoc with the MAF readings.
