Here's a 4th gear pull from only 2500 rpm on up to 5000 where I had to slow down. 190 cubic inch with 40mm Weber carbs and Otto 30 cam. Some other modifications too. From about 50 mph in 4th and then floored it. No hesitation or pinging under load. Rev limiter is set at 6600 but she'll turn 7 with no problem.

This is my 1965 corvair Monza running time trials at Portland Raceway in 2005, 2nd in class and 3rd overall. 4.11 gears topped out at about 115 down the back straight. 190 CID with 3 barrel webers and Otto #30 cam. 4 wheel disk brakes, shifting at 6600 rpms. Airplane/airport noises in background
