This 'ol girl has undergone an extensive restoration with all new high nickel phosphor-bronze strings, hammers, drawbacks, and felts. The finish was left original as well as the full-boat ivory/ebony keyboard. This pretty girl has not one missing tooth; with every pre-ban ivory key in perfect original condition.

This is part of a match pair of student/teacher pianos. This one is in the Grand Room and is never played. Every pre-ban ivory key is flawless, the action is light and quick, and the hammers are still as soft as a liberal. I'm saving this one.....

This excellent example of Parisian craftsmanship from the height of the Big Band era has an all granadilla body with solid nickel keys. The tone is mellow and deep with not even a hint of brightness. This is a numbered piece, but of professional grade. With its original alligator skin over teak case, I just brought it out of humidor conditioning.

Okay, I know, good 'ol Bishop is not an antique musical instrument...
But how cool does he have to be to get a video? Is this cool enough?

My first thumb pick video!
This excellent survivor is complete down to every detail including the original case. I re-strung it and tightened up the head and it was ready to play as recovered.
The Vega Banjo Company out of Boston is legendary and this piece is an outstanding example of their work.

This incredible instrument is a "Low Pitch". The pitch standard of middle A at 440 Hz was not set until about 1931 so instruments prior to that used two primary pitches "Low Pitch" with A at 335 Hz and "Concert Pitch" or "Vienna Pitch" with A at 440 Hz. Any instrument made prior to about 1931 may sound a little flat when they are played with moderns.
